A confrontation began at a hotel about a mile from where the victims were later found. It involved three men and at least one other person. After the shooting, a suspect wearing dark clothing and a mask left the scene. The group of three then quickly drove away from the hotel to the location where authorities later found them.

A shooting at a motel in the 16100 block of Timber Creek Lane left a 26-year-old man dead and a 31-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries. A third person, the driver of a sedan, was detained by police, but the reason for the detention has not been released, according to FOX 26 Houston. The suspect, who was driving a dark-colored Ford Bronco, has not been found.
