The Marin County Sheriff's Office reported on social media that an overnight burglary occurred at Loma Verde School in Novato, prompting a swift response from deputies on Monday. The culprits, who made off with five portable speakers valued at approximately $350, took the liberty of removing a window panel to access the school’s treasures, and their illegal excursion was captured on campus surveillance, featuring a male and female suspect carting away goods.
Through the sharp eye of a Marin County Probation Officer attached to the Sheriff’s COPE Team, a duo was identified: Enrique Ramirez, 46, of Novato, already familiar with the justice system due to a prior theft-related offense, and Margaruite Jorgensen, 53, of Novato, who accompanied him on this nocturnal venture. In pursuing justice, on Tuesday, Marin County Sheriff Detectives arrested both Ramirez and Jorgensen in Novato, tying the knot on this case.
A subsequent probation search of Ramirez's residence unearthed the stolen speakers, which were promptly returned to the school. The Marin County Sheriff's Office shared the news of the recovery and the arrests on their official Facebook page, commending all involved for the quick and successful resolution of the burglary. Ramirez and Jorgensen now face the music as they were booked into the Marin County Jail for the burglary offence.
