The NYPD is on the hunt for two individuals following a robbery in Brooklyn. According to a social media post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident took place on the evening of April 23. At approximately 7:10 p.m., a 14-year-old male was exiting the train station at 16th Avenue and 71st Street when the incident occurred.
After confronting the victim, the suspects fled eastbound on 71st Street toward New Utrecht Avenue on a motorized scooter. During the encounter, they displayed a firearm and forced the 14-year-old to hand over his jacket, which contained personal belongings including jewelry and a wallet.
Authorities have called on the public for assistance in locating the suspects. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is encouraged to come forward. The NYPD requests that tips be submitted directly through a message to @nypdtips on social media or by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
