
The NYPD is searching for six individuals in connection with the robbery of a young man in Manhattan. According to a social media post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred on June 3 in the early hours at Chambers Street Station, within the jurisdiction of the 1st Precinct. The 22-year-old victim was reportedly approached by the group around 2:47 a.m.
Witnesses reported that one suspect restrained the victim from behind and held a knife to his back while another searched his belongings. The suspects took a cellphone and a debit card before fleeing on foot, heading west on Warren Street.
Law enforcement is urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspects. The NYPD Crimestoppers have facilitated a means for individuals to anonymously share tips, either through a direct message to their Twitter page, @nypdtips, or by calling 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
