The NYPD is seeking information on an individual wanted in connection with an assault incident that occurred last Friday on a southbound "M" train in Queens. According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, at around 10:50 a.m., as the train was approaching the Court Square station, an unidentified suspect initiated a confrontation with a 25-year-old woman who was traveling with her 11-month-old daughter.
The altercation escalated, and the assailant deployed pepper spray, striking both the mother and her infant in the face before fleeing on foot. The direction of the escape has remained unknown, as the suspect vanished to parts unknown.
An attack on a public transit system within the jurisdiction of the NYPD’s 108th Precinct is under investigation. NYPD Crimestoppers is asking anyone with information to come forward anonymously by sending a direct message to @nypdtips or calling their hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
