
Violence ripples through the streets of West Columbus, leaving one person critically injured in a shooting incident. The Columbus Division of Police was dispatched to the scene near the 600 block of Wedgewood Drive, by the Wedgewood Village Apartments, yesterday evening around 8 p.m., following reports of gunfire. 10TV detailed that the victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in a condition described as critical.
The shooting, as confirmed by Columbus police, appeared to be rooted in a domestic dispute. Tyvaughn Nelson, aged 29, was arrested in connection with the incident and has been charged with felonious assault, as revealed in a report by NBC4i. Details at this time remain sparse, and the police have yet to disclose more information on the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
