An incident at Burnett Bayland Park in southwest Houston has left one person hospitalized following a shooting yesterday afternoon. According to KPRC 2, the shooting occurred at the soccer field located on Chimney Rock a little before 4:45 p.m.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and police have released limited information at this time. No arrests have been reported thus far.
Adding to the scant information available, FOX 26 Houston reports that the shooting call came in approximately at 4:30 p.m. Several people, are now in the custody of the police, though it has not been made clear whether they are witnesses or suspects in the case.
