The Petaluma Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that hospitalized one man, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The victim, while walking back to a hotel in the vicinity of Redwood Way, faced a sudden and violent demand for his possessions, leading to the shooting, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
After receiving a distress call at 3:48 AM, authorities arrived at the local hospital to find the unnamed male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his hand and leg. The assailant, described as a 6-foot-tall male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and black face mask, is still at large. In a surge of self-preservation, the victim managed to reach a hotel room after the confrontation, then self-transported to the hospital for the urgent care needed.
