The Philadelphia Police Department is calling on the community for help in finding a local man, Darryl Smith, who has been reported missing in the city's 12th District. Last seen last Thursday, the 65-year-old Black male's absence is stirring concern among those who know him and the broader community. Smith was last spotted leaving his residence on the 6200 block of Dickens Avenue, close to the stroke of midnight, at approximately 11:30 PM, as per the Philadelphia Police Department.
Descriptive information provided by the police paints a clear picture of Mr. Smith: standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 190 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes, and gray hair. Not one to blend in, he was last seen in distinctive attire: a black shirt emblazoned with a logo, red shorts, sporting gray sneakers, and garb that one might hope could aid in his identification by the public.
Moreover, the police, who are at the forefront of this pressing search, have made a direct solicitation for assistance; anyone with knowledge of Darryl Smith's whereabouts is urged to step forward and contact the Southwest Detective Division at 215-686-3183 or, in immediate circumstances, to dial 911.
