Residents of Phoenix can expect clear skies and climbing temperatures this week, according to the National Weather Service. The high today is slated to hit a sweltering 106 degrees, with winds remaining light and variable. As the sun sets, the clear evening will bring the low to a slightly more comfortable 79 degrees.
The remainder of the week doesn't offer much reprieve from the heat, with Monday's and Tuesday's highs forecasted at 108 and 107 degrees, respectively. Light winds will persist, punctuating the desert air with occasional gusts. The consistent pattern of clear nights and sunny days is a reminder of Phoenix's relentless summer heat. While the evenings will bring lows around the 80-degree mark, they provide little relief from the daytime scorches.
Wednesday continues in kind with another sunny high of 107, and similarly clear conditions will carry through to the end of the week. Thursday will practically mirror Wednesday's conditions, and by Friday, temperatures are expected to remain consistent with a high of 106 degrees.
Those looking forward to the weekend won't find an escape from the heat, as Saturday is also predicted to present a high near 107 degrees, according to a forecast.
