A Phoenix man is facing charges after law enforcement officials discovered a home doubling as an unlicensed veterinary surgery center. Edgar Glover, 37, is accused of animal cruelty and neglect, as well as operating without a veterinary license, as per FOX 10 Phoenix.
Authorities uncovered the makeshift clinic during a raid on Glover's west Phoenix residence, where they found 16 dogs living under inhumane conditions, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. Animals were allegedly kept caged, without access to food or water, amid urine and feces. The prosecutor dealing with the case voiced concerns about Glover's threat to both animals and the community during a court hearing.
The investigation leading to Glover'slknb m,lnbvnarrest began when a licensed veterinarian notified authorities about a dog experiencing pain post-surgery, according to a 12 News report. The dog's owner had been directed to Glover's Instagram page, Golden Line Bullys Arizona, which allegedly depicted as a legitimate veterinary service.
Search warrant execution revealed Glover's garage set up with medical instruments and medications, reflecting a crude imitation of a surgery center. Glover purportedly charged $400 per dog for the illegal ear cropping and tail docking procedures. Joe Casados of the Arizona Humane Society underscored the plight of these animals, reminding us "They can't speak for themselves. So it's really up to us to be that source of communication for their needs, making sure they're getting proper care and the bare minimum necessities that they need," as obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
