Last week, Pickerington city employees got to step out of their daily roles to pick up some life-saving skills. To create a community better prepared for emergencies, the Violet Township Fire Department conducted CPR training sessions for local staff.
The sessions were headed by Firefighter/Paramedic Evan Martin, who's not only seasoned in responding to cardiac emergencies but also in teaching others to swiftly and effectively react in such dire situations. In a social media post, the Violet Township Fire Department shared their enthusiasm about the initiative: "This week, Violet Township Fire Department had the privilege of providing CPR training to all City of Pickerington employees." They're aiming to build not just a team, but a whole town, that's ready to step in when someone's in the grasp of a cardiac crisis.
