
A man is now fighting for his life in critical condition after a shooting incident in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood, which unfolded early this morning. As reported by WPXI, the police were called to Churchland Street at around 1:30 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, officers found the victim in the driver's seat of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The area between Wardson's Street and Eastchester Street quickly became an active crime scene, with officials processing it for evidence. A review of video footage is part of the ongoing investigation, as the search for the perpetrator continues, according to public safety officials. No suspects have been named in connection with the shooting that has left the man on the precipice of life and death.
Simultaneously, according to a CBS News Pittsburgh report, when Pittsburgh Police, alongside fire and EMS teams, arrived at the 7000 block of Churchland Street, the scene they were confronted with was one of a critical emergency. The man was promptly taken to a nearby hospital after first responders found him with a life-threatening injury.
