Last night in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood, a shooting incident unfolded, leaving a male victim seeking refuge and aid within the familiar walls of a convenience store. According to WPXI, officers arrived at the UniMart on the 700 block of Brownsville Road just before 11 p.m. to discover the wounded individual.
Authorities established that the victim, who had been shot in the leg, did not encounter violence within the confines of the store, but somewhere in the darkened alleys of the city, and had then made his way to the store to seek help. Pittsburgh Police are now delving into the circumstances that precipitated this act of violence.
The efforts of the officers and first responders resulted in immediate action, which ushered the victim to a local hospital. According to WTAE, the man was in stable condition as he was transported to receive medical attention. Pittsburgh Public Safety confirmed that the initial investigation indicates the shooting occurred at a different location.
