
A man from Placer County is facing attempted murder charges after an assault in west Roseville. The Placer County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home on Vandenberg Circle following an assault report last Saturday evening
Around 6:45 p.m., deputies arrived and found a male victim with a stab wound on his cheek. The suspect, 33-year-old James Nunley, had already left in a black BMW. Deputies began a manhunt for him, as reported by the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, detectives and the Sacramento Police Department located and arrested Nunley in the South Natomas area of Sacramento just before 1 p.m. on Sunday. "Nunley is currently being held on charges of attempted murder (Penal Code 664/187(a))," the post said. It also stated, "We commend the swift investigative work of our deputies and detectives, and we extend our thanks to the Sacramento Police Department for their assistance in bringing this suspect into custody." After the arrest, Nunley was transferred to the Placer County Sheriff's Office. More information is available on their Facebook page.
