
The process to fill two judicial vacancies in Tennessee’s 30th Judicial District is underway. According to the Tennessee Courts website, the Trial Court Vacancy Commission has received applications for openings in the Criminal Court and Circuit Court.
Applicants for the Criminal Court judge position include Jahari M. Dowdy, Lora D. Fowler, Raymond J. Lepone, and Kenya N. Smith. For the Circuit Court judge position, the applicants are William Christopher Frulla, Mitzi H. Pollard, and C. Scott Jones.
Public hearings will be held on July 16 and July 17 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The hearings will take place in the Historic Courtroom, Room 325, at 1 North Front St., Memphis, TN 38103. The Commission will hear public comments, conduct interviews, and then select nominees to recommend to Governor Bill Lee for final appointment.
