
Yesterday morning, chaos was avoided thanks to the quick action of Columbus Police officers following reports of a man with a gun. According to a social media post from the Columbus Division of Police, the incident occurred at the intersection of N. High St. and Hull Alley.
Shots were reportedly fired by a male fitting the description provided to officers, which was corroborated in real-time by live cameras capturing the man shooting in the designated area. The Columbus Police noted, "Officers were immediately notified about shots being fired in real time with the same male description."
The police were able to locate the suspect after he was seen running eastbound on E. Hubbard St. by surveillance equipment. He was apprehended without incident or injury to bystanders or officers. "Shortly after, officers located the male running eastbound on E. Hubbard St. and took him into custody," the Columbus Division of Police clarified in their announcement of the event.
