A chaotic scene unfolded on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh this past Saturday morning when a man deliberately swerved his vehicle into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision. The violent crash, which occurred near Fox Ridge Manor around 6:55 a.m., involved a Honda CR-V, driven by 33-year-old Andersen Douglas Singleton with a female passenger, ramming into a Toyota Camry carrying two men, as reported by CBS17.
The aftermath witnessed all four individuals involved being transported to WakeMed Hospital with serious injuries, though they are expected to recover; this reckless act by Singleton led to charges including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill causing serious injuries, adding that Singleton was vocal about his intentions post-crash, telling a civilian who captured the crash on dashcam and rushed to his aid, “He was telling me how he was trying to kill himself and his wife because they were constantly fighting and everything,” a grim confession after such a disastrous event.
