A Rockwood woman is facing multiple charges after Roane County Sheriff's Office conducted a raid that culminated in the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash, casting a harsh light once again on the drug war's local battleground. On a post shared on their official Facebook page, the sheriff's office detailed the haul from last Friday raid at 1757 Eureka Road, marking the end of an investigation that started back in March 2025.

At the residence, investigators found and seized approximately 12 grams of fentanyl and 16 grams of cocaine, along with three firearms, ammunition, digital scales, packaging materials, and about $18,200 in cash. Described as classic hallmarks of distribution, the items were found during the execution of a search warrant targeting Heather Thomas, according to the Roane County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas, who had a previous felony conviction, now faces several charges that include possession of cocaine, fentanyl, and unlawful possession of firearms. As a convicted felon found with firearms during the raid, she was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, in addition to possession of drug paraphernalia.

"This operation is another example of our department's commitment to combating the flow of illegal drugs and firearms into Roane County; we will continue to investigate and dismantle drug trafficking operations that threaten our community," the Roane County Sheriff's Office stated on social media, allaying concerns from a public wary of increasing drug-related crimes. In a collaborative effort, other departments such as the 9th Judicial Drug Task Force, Harriman Police Department, and Kingston Police Department were tipped with appreciation for their assistance, pinpointing the importance of interagency cooperation in these interventions.
