The residential outline of Downtown Round Rock is due for a transformation with the introduction of The Depot Townhomes and Monarch on Main Townhomes. With the city's intentions to rejuvenate its downtown core, these projects are crucial to its Round Rock 2030 Comprehensive Plan, which advocates for at least 1,000 new housing units within proximity to Main Street.
The Depot Townhomes, nestled just a stone's throw away from City Hall at Burnet Street and McNeil Road, is poised to bring contemporary living to the heart of Downtown Round Rock, according to the City of Round Rock's announcement, these townhomes span from 1,389 to 1,918 square feet and impress with high ceilings, renowned appliances, and the option of rooftop terraces in some plans, the project demonstrates a commitment to quality living and safety with the inclusion of advanced fire code protections and soundproofing measures.
After purchasing the site, previously occupied by Builders Gypsum Supply in 2013, Round Rock City Council along with the Round Rock Transportation and Economic Development Corporation (Type B) initiated an economic pact with InTown Homes, setting the stage for the development that has already seen over a dozen units constructed and anticipates the onset of more home builds as it progresses, targeting a total of 80 units.
Meanwhile, the 60-unit Monarch on Main is fast materializing on East Main Street where it boasts not just attached garages and modern layouts, but also amenities like walking trails and park areas, after its grand opening earlier this month, people have started exploring the homes in-person, and with smart home capabilities, these townhomes, measuring between 1,881 to 1,975 square feet, seem to amalgamate comfort with contemporary tech.
