
A somber evening in Sacramento turned tragic last Tuesday when gunfire shattered the peace of Coral Gables Court. The Sacramento Police Department has reported that at approximately 10:30 p.m. last Tuesday, officers were dispatched to respond to a shooting incident in the 100 block area. Upon arrival, they discovered a juvenile male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, received immediate attention from the officers who arrived at the scene, desperately attempting life-saving measures. With a wound that would later take his life, he was transported to an area hospital by the Sacramento Fire Department. Despite the valiant efforts of both police and medical staff, the young man succumbed to his injuries.
While this juvenile's future has been cut tragically short, authorities are calling upon those who hold fragments of the truth to come forward. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office is awaiting the somber task of informing the next-of-kin before releasing the victim's identity to the public.
