The Sacramento Police Department has reported a shooting that took place on the 2800 block of Broadway earlier this month, where two individuals sustained gunshot wounds, one of whom has tragically succumbed to his injuries. disclosed the incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. last Sunday, June 1, prompting a response from officers who discovered an adult male critically wounded, while another victim had managed to reach a hospital by themselves and has been expected to make a recovery.

 

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are leading the investigation, collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses. The suspect is still at large, and no details have been released yet. The Sacramento Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact their dispatch center or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers. Tips can be given anonymously, and there may be a reward of up to $1,000 for helpful information.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office, as per normal procedure, will be responsible for releasing the identity of the victim who passed away, after ensuring that the next-of-kin have been properly notified about this grievous loss, last thursday, the Sacramento Police Department was made aware that the victim in critical condition had passed away due to the injuries.
