A quiet morning in Santa Rosa was disrupted by the aftermath of a tragic accident, reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Santa Rosa area office. At 9:33 AM, officers were called to the scene of a solo vehicle crash on private property along Franz Valley Road, south of Spencer Lane.
Upon arrival, they discovered a damaged Dodge Ram, abandoned by its driver. The property's tenant was later found, lifeless, approximately 300 feet from where the vehicle ultimately rested against a fence and tree. According to a social media post by CHP Santa Rosa, the incident likely occurred "last night before sunset." The driver appears to have been ejected during the loss of control, while the vehicle continued its descent without its operator.
The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed, pending the investigation, which remains ongoing. CHP has urged that any inquiries regarding the victim should be directed to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Coroner’s Office.
