The cold case of Colleen Powell West, who was found dead in 1989, has resurged as Maryland State Police call on the public for assistance. In a tragic episode that has puzzled authorities for more than three decades, West's life was cut short at the age of 26. Maryland police are seeking new leads in the hope that someone, somewhere, will come forward with the crucial piece of evidence.
According to a press release from the Maryland State Police, West was last seen at the Sportsman's Pub in Salisbury on the night of September 8, 1989. Her body was discovered the following day along Bear Swamp Road, a lonely stretch near Wango. This haunting case has remained unsolved, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew her and a stain of injustice upon the community, which, to this day, seems irreparable.
