A Southfield man, Karl Marcellus Johnson, age 28, has been bound over for trial on a first-degree murder charge in the death of a co-worker at Immanuel and Associates in Harrison Township. According to The Detroit News, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office announced the conclusion of the preliminary exam on Thursday, presided over by 41B District Court Judge Sebastian Lucido.
The alleged incident occurred more than half a year ago on October 11, 2024, where Johnson is accused of fatally shooting Roger Palmer, a former colleague. Johnson was a former employee of the business located at the 41000 block of Executive Drive. He remains in custody at the Macomb County Jail with his bond set at a staggering $5 million, as reported by CBS News Detroit.

The next phase of the legal process will see Johnson arraigned on June 24 before Judge James M. Maceroni, as detailed in the proceedings documented by Scanner of Warren on their social media post.
