
Tragedy struck again in Southwest Baltimore as a 23-year-old man was killed in an overnight shooting. Citing a release from the Baltimore Police Department, FOX Baltimore reported that the incident occurred today around 12:13 a.m. Responding to a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital, officers discovered the young man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Efforts by medical staff to initially stabilize the victim ultimately proved futile; he was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries. The investigation, according to WBAL, led detectives back to the 1500 block of West Fayette Street. At this location, they found what they believe to be the crime scene.
With the rise in such incidents across the city, Baltimore residents are yet again faced with the stark realities of violence in their midst. The police have not yet released the identity of the deceased as they continue to gather evidence and details about the shooting painstakingly.
