The St. Johns County Public Library System recently hosted its first Career Fair at the Solomon Calhoun Center, marking a significant step in supporting the local community's professional development. Attended by over 170 job seekers and featuring 23 employers from a variety of industries, the event served as a flourishing hub for networking, job exploration, and direct engagement with recruiters from both local businesses and national companies.
Reflecting on the fair's outcome, Debra Rhodes Gibson, Library Director, emphasized the library's role in facilitating individual empowerment and strengthening communal bonds, she noted the energetic interactions and meaningful connections made throughout the day.
