In a tragic incident on W. Florissant, authorities are currently on the search for an SUV and its driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead. The vehicle in question is a light-colored Mercury Mountaineer with a Missouri temporary tag, and the driver has been described as a black female, estimated to be between 20-30 years old of a heavy build with a medium complexion, identifiable by a mole located on the left side of her face and seen wearing a bonnet at the time of the accident, details of which have been released by St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The collision occurred around 7:30 pm on June 20th after the vehicle, moving northbound on Pope, turned onto W. Florissant striking the pedestrian, the aftermath of which the SUV was seen fleeing the scene, and investigators with Accident Reconstruction have taken over the probe to uncover the particulars of this fatality, in the chaos of the moment the vehicle disappeared leaving the victim critically injured and eventually succumbing to the injuries at a local hospital, his identity is yet to be revealed pending family notification.
