The National Weather Service in Nashville predicts a stretch of sunny days ahead with temperatures climbing into the lower 90s this week. According to their latest update, today's early patchy fog will disperse to reveal a clear sunny sky and a high near 88 degrees. The calm conditions are set to continue into the evening, with an expected low around 66 degrees.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Nashville residents can anticipate more sunshine with a slight uptick in temperature. The forecast high is near 91 degrees, with a gentle south breeze of 5 to 10 mph. Similar conditions are expected tomorrow night, with a low around 72 degrees and the wind persisting from the south-southeast at similar speeds.
The middle of the week could bring a minor shift in the weather pattern. "A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm, then a slight chance of showers after 4pm," as noted by the National Weather Service. Wednesday will remain mostly sunny despite this, with high temperatures continuing to hover around 91 degrees. The southerly winds might pick up, potentially gusting as high as 20 mph.
Changes become more pronounced on Thursday with a forecasted 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after the afternoon hour. It appears the sunny weather may yield, albeit only slightly, as cloud coverage begins to increase. Thursday evening maintains a chance for precipitation with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 am. The nighttime atmosphere remains warm with an expected low around 71 degrees.
By Friday, the likelihood of needing an umbrella increases as showers and thunderstorms become more probable, intensifying through the weekend. As per the NWS, there is “a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm.” The cloudier conditions won't bring much relief from the heat, with Friday's temperatures expected to reach near 88 degrees and weekend highs remaining in the mid-80s.
