Washington D.C. begins June with a stretch of mostly sunny weather and gradually rising temperatures. Today’s high is expected to reach 74 degrees with west winds gusting up to 20 mph. Tonight, temperatures are forecast to drop to around 52 degrees with light northwest winds, according to the National Weather Service.
The sunny trend continues through the week. Monday will see a high near 76 degrees with calm winds and a low around 57 at night. Tuesday brings a warmer high of 85 degrees with light southwest winds and a nighttime low around 63.
Temperatures are expected to rise further midweek. Wednesday’s high is forecast near 90 degrees, and Thursday could reach 93 under mostly sunny skies. Both nights will remain mostly clear, with lows around 68 and 73 degrees, respectively.
On Friday, the forecast includes a 40% chance of showers with a high near 90 under partly sunny skies. Rain chances increase to 50% Friday night and continue into Saturday, with a 40% chance of precipitation and a high near 84 degrees.
