Following a string of arson attacks devastating properties across multiple Tennessee counties and regions of Kentucky, a cooperative sleuthing effort has netted a suspect. Per a post from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with various agencies, detectives have been piecing together the puzzle of these intentional blazes.
The extensive investigation, shepherded by Sgt. Travis Donnell of the WCSO linked the series of incidents unfolding over recent weeks, all culminating in the arrest of Charlie Aguayo from Antioch. Due to the widespread nature of the crimes, agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the ATF joined forces, assisting local Sheriff's offices and thus ensuring the gathered evidence could speak for those silent, charred foundations left in the fire's wake.
Thankfully, the fires claimed no victims, but the scorched remnants signaled a total loss for the property owners. Aguayo, now behind bars at the Wilson County Jail, faces charges for his alleged handiwork: three counts of arson and one of criminal trespassing. His bond stands at the hefty sum of $80,000.00, a numerical reflection of the gravity of his suspected deeds.
