A recent theft at the Houston Premium Outlets has led to the arrest of an individual, identified as Kiran Raparthu. Last Sunday, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were called to the scene after employees at the Sunglass Hut reported a shoplifting incident, according to a statement from the precinct's Facebook page. It was alleged that Raparthu concealed a pair of sunglasses, valued at $563, and attempted to leave the store without paying.
The suspect was quickly located by constable deputies and taken into custody. The officials managed to successfully recover the stolen merchandise, which was thereafter returned to the business. Constable Mark Herman was quoted saying, "Kiran Raparthi was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, for Theft. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 13," as noted by Constable Mark Herman's Office.
