
A teen was caught in a violent twist of fate when a fellow accomplice inadvertently shot him during a drive-by shooting in Union County, Monroe. This incident occurred yesterday night, as confirmed by local police authorities. WBTV reported that the shooting unfolded along Skywatch Lane near Waxhaw Highway in Monroe, around 11:30 p.m.
The situation rapidly escalated when a car stopped on the road, allowing multiple individuals to exit the vehicle and begin to openly shoot into two residential homes. Miraculously, those inside the homes emerged unscathed. However, the 16-year-old shooter didn't emerge unharmed, as he was unintentionally struck by a bullet from his own accomplice. After initially being rushed to Atrium Union, the wounded teen had to be airlifted to a Charlotte area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. As of this moment, Monroe Police are yet to make any arrests or press charges in connection to this incident.
