
A tragic incident at Eagle Falls claimed the life of a 19-year-old man last week, as he succumbed to the treacherous waters while swimming with friends. According to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, the events unfolded on June 12 just after 6:30 p.m., detailed in a report by KIRO7. The teenager began to cramp and disappeared beneath the surface. Desperate attempts by his friends to rescue him were met with defeat.
Following the distressing incident, emergency responders reached the scene to administer lifesaving care, which included a persevering 20 minutes of CPR. Despite their continued efforts, the young man was pronounced dead at Eagle Falls, as per a coverage by FOX 13 Seattle.
The operation that unfolded involved Sky Valley Fire crews locating and retrieving the victim from the water, and then initiating CPR efforts. As detailed by KOMO News, despite the first responders' attempts at reanimation, the life of the young man, who identity remains at the discretion of the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office for formal identification and determination of death cause and manner, was unable to be saved.
