Last Saturday, a charitable spectacle sprouted up in Tellico Village where the local Pickleball and Tennis Clubs banded together to host a fundraiser for the Loudon County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Fund, as the LCSO proudly announced on social media. The event took place at the Tellico Village Wellness Center and was a marked victory for community engagement, netting over $4,000 in contributions.
Members of the community and deputies from various LCSO divisions exchanged volleys and serves in a display of athletic camaraderie, with the clubs serving up not only a great time but also a generous donation to a good cause. Despite the competitive atmosphere, the officers playfully conceded defeat with a hint of humor, acknowledging their opponents' skill on the court as remarked on the LCSO's Facebook page, "While most of us couldn’t quite secure a win, and yes, we admit it wasn’t exactly kosher how good our opponents were, the fun, laughs, and camaraderie made it a day to remember."
