The accolades for the Tennessee Department of General Services continue to amass as they clinch the Top Workplaces 2025 recognition by The Tennessean for the sixth consecutive year. In the recent award ceremony held at Music City Center on June 18, the department's streak as a beacon of employee satisfaction and workplace culture was notably extended.
The Top Workplaces list, predicated on the feedback of the employees themselves, measures the pulse of an organization's heart through a confidential survey. Powered by Energage LLC, an employee engagement technology partner, the survey endeavors to accurately gauge critical components of the workplace environment. Among these are the extents to which employees feel respected, supported, empowered, and poised to grow within their roles, according to the department's announcement.
"Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees," Energage CEO Eric Rubino stated. Rubino emphasizes the importance of leaders fostering an environment where employees' voices not only are heard but also genuinely considered.
With this latest honor, Jeff Holmes, Interim Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, took pride in his team's spirit and collective ethic, noting the consistency with which they surpass expectations in their service. "Achieving this recognition for the sixth consecutive year demonstrates the unwavering dedication of our employees who consistently go above and beyond in their service to the State of Tennessee and its citizens," Holmes told the department's newsroom. "I'm honored to work alongside such talented professionals who make our department a truly remarkable place to work."
