Three individuals sustained injuries in a drive-by shooting in northwest Houston, as bullets disrupted the calm of Phillips Street last night. In the incident confirmed by Click2Houston, one woman is grappling with critical injuries after being shot multiple times in the torso. A man and another woman were also wounded, on their arm and buttocks and leg, respectively.
At around 10 p.m., the voices of gunfire cut through the tranquility on the 6600 block of Phillips Street, startling a home where four children between ages 9 and 13 were inside. Assailed by the fear of these events, none of the children were harmed, though bullets marred the sanctuary of their home. In a statement obtained by Click2Houston, Lt. R. Wilkins from Houston police shared that they are diving into surveillance video and seeking witness statements, with no arrests made thus far.
Investigators are working through the unclear details, trying to understand what happened between the victim and suspects before the shooting, as reported by FOX26Houston. All three victims were rushed to the hospital with expectations of survival.
