A shootout yesterday morning at the Mustang Inn on Tidwell Road in Northeast Houston left three individuals wounded. The incident, according to Click2Houston, occurred around 1:30 a.m. amidst multiple disturbances that erupted in the motel parking lot, leading to several people drawing firearms and opening fire on one another.

Lt. Ali of the Houston Police Department explained the chaotic scene, "What we’re being told is that some sort of disturbance took place, a series of disturbances took place in the parking lot of this location, which led to more than one firearm being produced at some point," as reported by Click2Houston. Taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries—received in the leg—was a woman, and in the stomach, a man. Another man who self-transported to the hospital was also treated for a ricochet wound to the back of the shoulders.

The consequences of the violent clash led to no arrests initially. However, as the investigation progressed, officers identified a suspect through surveillance footage review. As noted by CW39, the suspect has since been arrested and is held at the Harris County Jail. Details about the charges have yet to be released.

The Houston Police Department is still investigating the shooting and working to understand what led to it. According to emergency responders, those injured are expected to survive.
