
A house fire in Gratiot County killed a 33-year-old man and a 2-year-old girl and injured several others. The Gratiot County Sheriff's Office said the fire happened around 1:20 a.m. on Monday on the 4000 block of North Royce Road in Emerson Township. Three people were trapped inside the home when first responders arrived, according to ABC 12.
Emergency crews from Alma Police and fire departments in Ithaca, Alma, St. Louis, and Breckinridge responded to a house fire. A man and two children were rescued from the home. The man died later at a local hospital, and the young girl died on Tuesday at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids. The Lansing State Journal reports that the fire does not appear to be suspicious. The names of those involved have not been released.
A fire resulted in multiple deaths and injured at least three children, who were treated at different medical facilities, as mentioned by WNEM. Their current conditions have not been released.
