
Early this morning in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, a man was left in serious condition after being stabbed several times. The Seattle Police Department has taken into custody two individuals—a 37-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man—in connection with the violent incident. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the attack took place near 10th Avenue and East Pike Street.
Officers responded to the emergency at 12:11 a.m., after receiving reports of the stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered the male victim suffering from wounds to his stomach, arm, and back. The responding officers provided immediate aid until the Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. The victim was subsequently rushed to Harborview Medical Center. A group of men were reportedly involved in an altercation that led to the stabbing.
The female suspect is alleged to have assaulted the victim before she and the male suspect fled the scene. A short foot chase ensued, ending with police apprehending both suspects. Further details report that the woman discarded the knife used in the stabbing into some nearby bushes before being captured, which officers later recovered.
Homicide and Assault Unit detectives are spearheading the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing. The Seattle Police Department's blotter states that they booked the woman into King County Jail for investigation of assault, while additional charges are expected to be brought against the male suspect.
