In a major crackdown on narcotics operations within Macomb County, two men face charges following a raid on Area 51 Hookah & Tobacco shops. Shannon Young, 44, from Eastpointe, and Allante Williamson, 33, from Clinton Township, were arrested as a result of a coordinated law enforcement effort that took place earlier this week.

On Monday, search warrants were executed at two hookah shop locations—one on Gratiot Avenue in Mount Clemens and the other on Harper Avenue in Clinton Township. Having seized 10 pounds of marijuana and over a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, police also recovered five guns and close to $23,000, as reported by ClickOnDetroit. A residence on Holland Avenue, Eastpointe, was part of the operation with extensive searches.

Young has been charged with conspiracy to deliver/manufacture controlled substances, including marijuana, and felony firearm possession. Williamson's charges extend to a similar conspiracy, with the additional charge of tampering with evidence. In their arraignment, each received a $75,000 personal bond, as described in an update by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Detailing the items confiscated, FOX 2 Detroit noted that alongside the drugs, two rifles with magazines and three pistols with magazines were taken by the Sheriff's Enforcement Team (SET), which may add to the gravity of the charges faced by Young especially, given his weapon-related felony.
