
A motorcycle accident in the southwest valley of Las Vegas has left one person hospitalized with major head trauma. The collision, which occurred around 8:18 p.m. Tuesday night, involved a motorcycle and another vehicle near Spring Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard, KTNV reports. Shortly after the incident, the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
After the crash, Las Vegas police closed off the area to investigate, which also shut down nearby roads for a few hours. Locals were advised to stay away, causing some traffic disruption. Police said it's still unclear if impairment played a role in the crash, as reported by KTNV.
Just two minutes later and a short distance away, another report of a motorcycle crash came from Spring Mountain Road and Edmond Street. 8 News Now states that the motorcyclist involved was similarly transported in critical condition to a hospital suffering from major head trauma. This second incident also raised questions about the role of impairment, though it has yet to be determined by the authorities.
