Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in connection with an armed carjacking on E Street in Northeast Washington, D.C. As reported by the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred last Tuesday, when the suspects confronted the victim who was getting out of their car. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim's belongings, leading the victim to comply and quickly leave the area.

Following the crime, MPD issued an immediate lookout for the stolen vehicle, which was swiftly tracked down with the assistance of their Real Time Crime Center. With the help of MPD's Helicopter, Falcon 1, and the cooperation of Prince George’s County Police Department, the car was located and pursued back into the district. The chase concluded with the suspects' apprehension in the 2000 block of Bruce Place, Southeast.

According to the MPD’s statement, the individuals arrested were 19-year-old Jabari Brown of Northwest, D.C., and a 15-year-old juvenile male from Suitland, MD. They have both been charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun). The swift response and subsequent arrests reflect a concerted effort to manage violent crime in the D.C. area. MPD expressed their gratitude toward Prince George’s County Police for their pivotal role and ongoing partnership throughout the investigation.
