
Troutdale experienced a jarring episode of gun violence late last Friday night when Multnomah County sheriffs' deputies arrived at a wooded area by the Sandy River following reports of a shooting, the incident leaving at least two people with serious injuries. The call came in around 11:10 p.m. from the vicinity of NW Graham and Swigert, and once on the scene, deputies found the wounded and provided crucial life-saving measures, such as applying tourniquets, before the victims were rushed to local hospitals for further treatment, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
With the area secured and the public deemed not to be at risk, the East County Major Crimes Team took the helm of the investigation which involves members from multiple law enforcement agencies including the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Gresham Police Department, Oregon State Police, Port of Portland Police Department and working in conjunction with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation into the Troutdale shooting remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with relevant information about this crime to come forward.
