According to ABC13, two massive spools became roadblocks after tumbling from a heavy truck that struck a railroad bridge. The incident, recorded on Houston TranStar cameras, prompted officials to shut down multiple lanes as authorities worked on the scene.
The spool saga began around 7:30 p.m., hindering the westbound flow of traffic, which saw vehicles edge past the oversized obstacles. Alongside one spool obstructing the lanes, another was spotted resting on the shoulder. All lanes were reported open again by 11:30 p.m., and thankfully, no injuries were reported in the wake of the incident.
