Looking to get those creative juices flowing this summer? Pullen Arts Center has got a lineup of classes to tap into that artistic potential. If you're anywhere from 9 to 99, there's something that might just tickle your fancy at this local hub for culture and crafts.

For the young and the young at heart among us, there's the 'Youth Mixed Media - Found Object Assemblage' class for those aged 9 to 12. It'll cost $30 for residents and $45 for those not from around here. Happening on July 20, from 1 to 3 p.m., this class promises to let kids channel their inner Louise Nevelson to create their own found object sculptures. Instructor Sue Chegari will to quickly make sure participants arrange, glue, and paint their way to a finished, textured masterpiece in a single session. Registration is just a click away over at the City of Raleigh.

Speaking of teens, those between 11 and 15 have a couple of options. 'Teen Illustrating Art' on June 14 lets them sketch their way through the Gregg Museum of Art, while 'Teen Printmaking - Outside & Inside' on June 26 brings the beauty of nature into print form. Both sessions, led by Julia Einstein, also stick to the $30/$45 price tag depending on whether you're a local or just visiting, as per the City of Raleigh.

Jewelry aficionados, you're not left out. The 'Open Enamels Studio (Kiln Fire)' on June 22, for a mere five bucks, provides space for those with past enameling class experience to work on their own kiln-fired creations. For a deeper dive, 'Narrative Layered Brooch or Pendant with Betty McKim' on June 28-29 offers a two-day workshop in the Betty McKim Jewelry Studio. This one is a little pricier at $165 for residents and $180 for non-residents, but given that it's named after local jeweler legend Betty McKim, it promises to be worth every penny.
