St. Charles County drivers, brace yourselves for a series of traffic delays on Jungermann Road starting next week. Beginning on Monday, traffic signal equipment replacement is set to cause a stir in your daily commute. According to the City of St. Peters, signal work will lead to temporary shutdowns, transforming busy intersections into all-way stops from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The signal at Sutters Mill will be the first to go on Monday, followed by Barkwood Trails on Tuesday. Country Creek is next on Wednesday, and finally, Queensbrooke gets its turn on Thursday next week. Each intersection will be an all-way stop during those hours, did you catch that? Stop signs will pop up to guide you through the maze of construction work, so keep your eyes peeled.
The affected intersections are some of the arterial roadways that drivers in the area frequent. If you're planning your route, you might want to pad your schedule with extra time for the likely bottlenecks. "Please follow the warning signs and drive carefully through the work construction area," the City of St. Peters' alert advises motorists.
