It is believed that she left her home without any granted permission and has not been spotted since that time.
Demetria Ackerman is described as standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The Detroit Police Department is urgently seeking to locate her and has asked anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.
In an attempt to widely broadcast Demetria's description and garner assistance from the community, the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons Division has also made a plea on social media, urging people to "help us find missing Demetria Ackerman" and to contact Detroit's 9th Precinct at (313) 596-5940 or 911 with any potential leads.
