Residents of DeSoto and surrounding communities are on alert as the DeSoto Police Department has issued an emergency missing person notice. Cecilio Alvarado, a 74-year-old Hispanic male, was last seen near the 900 block of Cardinal Drive and is believed to possibly be in the area of Hearthstone and Belt Line in Lancaster. The department described Alvarado as around 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a red hat, blue shirt, blue jeans, and green sandals. Notably, he speaks Spanish, which could be a crucial detail in facilitating his safe return.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Alvarado's whereabouts to make contact. A second photo of Mr. Alvarado, now circulating on social media, confirms the clothing description he was last seen in the morning he left his home. The image, which provides a clearer idea of his appearance on the day of his disappearance, was shared by the DeSoto Police Department's Facebook page, supplementing their earlier alert.
The local community has been quick to respond, with residents sharing the post and extending their support in the search efforts. However, there remains an urgent need for additional information that might lead to locating Mr. Alvarado.
