In an initiative bridging fierce athletic prowess and post-collegiate professional acumen, Utah Athletics has proudly named Jenna Johnson and Maile O'Keefe as recipients of the Anne Osborn Post-Graduate Internship Award for the 2025-26 term. The award, which aims to retain talented female student-athletes and groom them into potential collegiate athletics leaders, falls in line with its second-year tradition of enabling career growth beyond the competitive arena.
Jenna Johnson, a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court, is getting ready to transition seamlessly into an assistant graduate coach role. "The U gave me a platform to chase down my athletic dreams and develop me into a better student, woman, and member of our Salt Lake community," said Johnson, as per UtahUtes.com. She's set to replace last year's inaugural recipient, Dasia Young, also a behemoth in women's basketball, underscoring the cyclical nature of this venerated award.
Maile O'Keefe, on the other hand, is scheduled to take on an operations specialist role for gymnastics, after imparting her knowledge as a graduate assistant coach, a role to be filled by the up-and-coming Grace McCallum. O'Keefe's journey has been duly noted, having added layers of academic refinement with a certificate of applied positive psychology and an MRED certificate to her repertoire. O'Keefe shared her eagerness, stating, "I love Utah Gymnastics with my whole heart and I'm excited for the opportunity to contribute to their success in a different manner," as obtained by UtahUtes.com.
